KEN and DOREEN STAFFORD
Our mission is to take the Truth of God's Word, guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and His Gifts into
all the world to save the lost, train disciples, and empower these disciples to serve. As a result, each believer is enabled to walk in the power of God and live a Christ-like life, characterized by a balanced personal life and the ability to disciple others.
Dr. Ken Stafford is an ordained minister of the Gospel. He is currently the founding President of Bearers Of Light Ministries (BOLM). Ken and his wife, Doreen, a Board Member for B.O.L.M., have been in full-time ministry for over 28 years.
In 1978, Ken accepted a position with The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), where he served for over nine years; first as Spiritual Life Director at CBN's TV station KXTX-39 in Dallas; Associate Director and then Director of the National Counseling Center in Virginia Beach, Va.; and finally, as National Training Director. He resigned his position at CBN in 1987 to establish
Bearers Of Light Ministries.
Across the United States and in many foreign countries, the Staffords bring Bearers Of Light Ministries
to churches and Christian organizations of all sizes, conducting workshops and seminars on specialized topics that the Lord has given them to teach, such as: Christian living, counseling, marriage, parenting, women's roles, men's roles, leadership, intercessory prayer, etc. The seminars are conducted with this goal in mind: to equip the saints by providing understanding and practical application of the Word of God to their daily lives.
For the Staffords, Bearers Of Light Ministries is the culmination of many years of teaching and learning. Pastors, Leaders, Laity and Students attending the workshops and seminars have found the material to be a
blessing both in their personal lives and in their preparation for helping others. Ken and Doreen have authored five books: HANDBOOK FOR HELPING OTHERS: Guidelines for Biblical Counseling, published by Cornerstone Publishing, Inc.; THE BASIC 8: A Biblical Guide to Helping Others; THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE: A Guide to Building a Biblical Marriage; PARENTING GOD'S WAY: A Biblical Guide to Parenting; and THE BIBLICAL FAMILY: A Guide to Building a Biblical Marriage and Family. These books have been translated into five languages and currently are being used in over 25 countries.
In addition, Ken is President of Pneuma Bible Institute, which was established in 2003 as an extension of B.O.L.M. Ken is a certified Biblical Counselor with "The International Association of Biblical Counselors" and "Life Innovations" (Prepare/Enrich). He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Counseling.
